A map-first, two-sided marketplace connecting group fitness hosts with people looking to train together — an Expo mobile app and Next.js web app on Supabase, with Stripe-powered ticketing. Launching first in Rochester, NY.

The problem

Group fitness events are scattered across Instagram posts, group chats, and word of mouth — hard for seekers to discover, and hard for hosts to manage capacity, RSVPs, and payments without stitching tools together.

The approach

Built a TypeScript monorepo with two clients — an Expo (React Native) mobile app and a Next.js web app — over Supabase (auth, Postgres with row-level security, edge functions), with Stripe Checkout for paid tickets, free RSVP flows, host approval, and map-first discovery. Developed with a disciplined agentic SDLC: versioned requirements, ADRs, and adversarial design reviews.

The result

The MVP is feature-complete and in pre-launch hardening — host onboarding, event publishing, ticketing, and account recovery are ship-ready ahead of the Rochester launch.
